Maples is a pretty little chihuahua mix who came from the city shelter, the NYCACC. She’s a bit shy with strangers and may prefer women to men, but when Jose was doling out the treats she LOVED him! Maple is spayed, vaccinated, dewormed, microchipped and ready for a home. Contact BARC for more information: http://www.barcshelter.org, 718-486-7489.

On April 5th, at 12pm, please join the League of Humane Voters of New York City at a press conference on the steps of City Hall and show your support for the pets in housing bill! If you’re with an animal rescue group, please bring your banner, and contact LOHV-NYC at 212-889-0303 if you’re interested in speaking at the event. Everyone else, bring pictures of your pets! The City Council Speaker Christine Quinn, carriage horse industry supporter, is rumored to oppose the bill, so we need hundreds of people to show up. Don’t miss this event, with your help we CAN get this bill passed! Email John Phillips for more info: john@humanenyc.org.

Brooklyn Animal Resource Coalition's (BARC's) mission is to provide safe haven for homeless animals and find permanent, loving homes for them. The animals in BARC's care receive quality food and shelter. BARC cares for the animals with the assistance of dedicated volunteers, revenues generated from the success of our onsite store, BQE Pet Supply, and from private and government donations.
Established in 1987, The Brooklyn Animal Resource Coalition is a 501(c)3 not-for-profit, animal shelter located in Williamsburg, Brooklyn.
